RCJ Movement

"The RCJ Movement’ is inspired by my uncle, Robert Charles Jackson. In his lifetime he was homeless,
incarcerated, addicted to drugs, hospitalized, and confined to a convalescent home. I was there at every stage of his life. Some of my greatest memories of him were seeing him homeless and living in an open field among others who were in the same predicament. Their disheveled appearance and lifestyle caused society to ignore and turn away from them. They were dirty, stinky, and beggars; but they were also people. They needed food, water, clothes, and shelter. I remember a number of times my family put money on his books to buy hygiene products and food when he was incarcerated. I remember when he was in the hospital struggling with cancer. We would go visit him and pray for him. However, I also remember when my uncle gave his life to Christ, overcame his addiction to drugs and came in off the streets! Along with our passion to serve deprived communities, he serves as an inspiration to me to help others who are just like him. This movement is about bringing hope and providing the necessary tools and supplies to the homeless, drug addicts, hospital patients, and those incarcerated."
